Nick is fascinated with the notion of individual and social identity and the external factors that determine and influence its multiple manifestations. Through his personal work he continuously explores this notion, in particular the relationship between photographer and individual, and the influence and affect each has on the physical presentation and visual re-presentation of a subjects true self. In order to produce images that are as realistic and as truthful to the individual as possible, Nick constantly experiments with photographic strategies, which momentarily allow him to glimpse beneath the social mask. In doing so he produces images that are both intimate and relaxed and as true to the subject as possible. It is via these strategies that Nicks' natural style has evolved, bringing commissions from both editorial and commercial clients. Nick studied photography at the Arts University Bournemouth and the University for the Creative Arts (Farnham), and has a BA(Hons) degree in Photography.
